From Covent Garden station, head up Long Acre towards Leicester Sq. Then, on Charing Cross Road, turn right up to Tottenham Ct Rd Station. On Charing Cross, on the right hand side and turnings off, there are many guitar and music shops.
Reply:The Place to go is Denmark Street, you could spend a whole afternoon wandering up and down there,

Rare %26amp; Vintage Guitars is like a museum for Amps and Guitars.

Worthy of special mention is Andys, its been there forever, and I'm pretty sure any guitarist of note in the past couple of decades has used it at onetime or another.

The London Resonator Centre is there, Hanks, Rokas, MusicRoom, Rose-Morris.

This isnt just a list I have pulled off of the net, I can speak from personal experiance, having worked in the area, and wasted many a lunchtime as a teenager there.

I'm 44 now, and still make it a port of call when I am in London.

When you go, expect to be blown away, the Staff are friendly, and know what they are talking about, and I mean in ALL the shops. As other posts have said, Charing cross road has many great shops too, But for me its Denmark Street, aka TIn Pan Alley!
