30 minutes! I do that trip regularly and have never encountered the time delays described above.

Just under an hour. The Piccadilly line is usually quite reliable.
Reply:I would say about an hour, rather a bit more, but the best thing is to check the Transport for London webpage at www.tfl.gov.uk or to call them at 02072221234. They are usually quite helpful - at any time of the day (or night)!
Reply:Watch out for pickpockets on the Tube and at Covent Garden, If they spot you with luggage they will try it on...

I'd allow about an hour and a half at the momemt - Problems on Picadilly line!

Reply:I would say an hour tops if it's running well. I did Hyde Park Corner to Heathrow in about 40 mins and Covent Garden isn't that much further.

Reply:The following link will give you the answer you are looking for, once the names of the tube stations are typed in (Covent Garden and Heathrow; although you need to specify where in Heathrow; which I'd say would probably be Terminals 1-2-3 or Terminal 4 - Terminal 5 isn't open yet.) Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are very close to each other, terminal 4 is about 3-5 minutes extra journey time from T123 tube, not the 11 minutes that the web site says. (I can only think that the waiting time at T123 before the tube heads back into London is included in the 11 minutes.)





If you have not been to Heathrow before, there are maps of it on the same website showing where the terminals are in relation to the tube stops; not that they will be of any help, as it's impossible to orientate yourself when you are walking in an underground tunnel or above ground surrounded by large buildings. Just follow the signs!
