Reply:There are various resturants that do buffets. Mr Wu's is a chinese resturant that does some good cheap food, not much meat for around £5 per head plus drinks. There are branches dotted around the West End / Soho.
There are also plenty of vegetarian thai resturants that are even less than than that- the food is quite goood, but no alchoholic drinks.
Wetherspoon pubs offer a broad range of food at reasonable prices.
Many resturants offer an early evening deal, advertised as pre theatre - two courses for a fixed price.
At the top of Charring Cross Road by Tottenham Court Road tube station, there is a variety of cheap and cheerful resturants.
A bit more adventurous than Mac Donalds.
